Vorig jaar meldde we dat er ALTIJD ruimte zou moeten zijn voor wat fijne vintage zonneschijn in je leven… De regen tijdens De Nacht van Ontdekkingen 2022 gooide helaas roet in het eten. Het podium werd vanwege veiligheid gesloten.
Dit jaar maakt Zuster Zonnebloem het helemaal goed! Deze psychedelische rockband kwam in 2020 zomaar uit het niets tevoorschijn met de debuutsingle Without Time. Met hun old-school psychedelic rock sound en hoopvolle boodschap hebben zij het doel de wereld een stukje zonniger te maken. Dit eigenzinnige viertal neemt je mee op reis; het ene moment helder en kwetsbaar, het andere moment rauw en losgeslagen. Strevende naar een plek waar iedereen verbonden is met elkaar, de muziek en de planeet. In maart 2022 wonnen zij De Nobel Award, de popprijs van de Leidse regio. Het langverwachte debuutalbum komt op 17 november dit jaar uit op vinyl, met natuurlijk een knallende release show.
Vergeet de tijd met een splinternieuwe band in een oud (Afghaans) jasje en ontdek de kleurrijke melodieën en groovy ritmes geïnspireerd op muziek uit de jaren ‘60 (denk aan: Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane).
Last year, we announced that there should ALWAYS be room for some fine vintage sunshine in your life... Unfortunately, the rain during the Night of Discoveries 2022 put a damper on things. The stage was closed for safety reasons.
This year, Zuster Zonnebloem (Sister Sunflower) is making it all right! This psychedelic rock band emerged out of nowhere in 2020 with their debut single "Without Time." With their old-school psychedelic rock sound and hopeful message, their aim is to make the world a bit sunnier. This eccentric quartet takes you on a journey, one moment clear and vulnerable, the next raw and unrestrained. They strive for a place where everyone is connected to each other, the music, and the planet. In March 2022, they won the Nobel Award, the pop prize of the Leiden region. Their highly anticipated debut album will be released on vinyl on November 17th this year, accompanied by an explosive release show.
