Maar liefst 1848 relais afkomstig uit zo’n 300 sloopauto’s vormen de basis voor de imposante installatie RELAY. Deze relais, die ooit dienstdeden als elektronische schakelaars voor knipperlichten, kunnen afzonderlijk van elkaar klikken en zoemen.
Geïnspireerd door de verstoorde balans tussen mens en natuur reflecteert Touki Delphine met behulp van techniek op de kracht en schoonheid van de natuur. Laat je meevoeren door het overweldigende geweld van de natuur en de oorverdovende kwetsbaarheid van techniek. Een zoektocht naar ons veranderende zelfbeeld, van ondergeschikt en kwetsbaar naar superieur en onaantastbaar. Van prooi naar plaag.
Collectief Touki Delphine creëert beeldend, muzikaal en monumentaal werk. Relay is een auditief en visueel totaalkunstwerk. Een compositie over ontwikkelingen en vergankelijkheid. Een performance die oproept tot bescheidenheid. Relay is het derde werk na Botanical Wasteland en Firebird in de reeks rondom de relatie tussen mensen en natuur. Via deze reeks werkt Touki Delphine in vier jaar toe naar het totaalwerk Paviljoen Delphinarium.
A total of 1848 relays from approximately 300 scrapped cars form the basis of the impressive installation called RELAY. These relays, which once served as electronic switches for turn signals, can click and buzz individually.

The collective Touki Delphine creates visual, musical, and monumental works. Relay is an auditory and visual total artwork, a composition about progress and transience. A performance that calls for humility. Relay is the third work after Botanical Wasteland and Firebird in a series revolving around the relationship between humans and nature. Through this series, Touki Delphine is working towards the complete work called "Paviljoen Delphinarium" over the course of four years.
